Lasagna is a favorite dish for many, but sheets for preparing it are not always on sale, and not everyone likes to make the dough themselves. An easier and faster way to prepare lasagna is with pita bread.

Lasagna with pita bread and bechamel sauce

Classic lasagna is prepared with special sheets of dough. As a replacement for such sheets, you can take lavash - it can be Armenian or any other thin lavash. This replacement does not affect the taste of lasagna in any way - it turns out just as satisfying, juicy and aromatic as the traditional dish. Otherwise, the recipe for lasagna is no different: it is prepared with any minced meat, mushrooms, vegetables, and cheese.

This Italian dish is made with bechamel sauce, but if you want to make the dish in a hurry, the lasagna sauce can be replaced with kefir, seasoned with spices and herbs

Ingredients:

  • lavash 5-7 sheets;
  • 1 onion;
  • minced meat 500 g;
  • tomatoes or tomato puree 500 g;
  • flour 40g;
  • butter 40 g;
  • milk 400 ml;
  • cheese 150 g;
  • seasonings and salt to taste.

Cooking method:

  1. Finely chop the onion and fry. Place minced meat in a frying pan and fry with onions until cooked. Season the filling and add salt.
  2. If you use ready-made tomato puree, then immediately add it to the minced meat. If you took tomatoes in their own juice or fresh tomatoes, then you need to grind them in a blender or just finely chop them and then simmer. Please note that the tomato puree should be homogeneous, without large pieces of tomato.
  3. Now let's make bechamel sauce, for which we gradually add flour to the melted butter, and then hot milk with constant stirring. Bring the sauce to thicken over low heat. Add salt and nutmeg to the finished lasagna sauce to taste.
  4. Next, you can begin to shape our lasagna. Grease the mold with oil, lay out a sheet of pita bread, grease it with sauce. Then lay out the minced meat. Repeat layers. At the end, cover the lasagna with a sheet of pita bread, spread the sauce and sprinkle with grated cheese.
  5. Place the lasagna with minced meat in the oven for 30 minutes at 180 degrees. You can check the readiness by looking at the crust - it should be golden brown, but the cheese should not burn.

Homemade lasagna is served after it has cooled slightly, otherwise the finished dish will be difficult to cut into portions.

Lasagna with cheese and tomato sauce

This recipe does not use bechamel sauce. Lasagna is prepared with several types of cheese and tomato sauce. Pita bread will also be used as lasagne sheets. We offer a step-by-step recipe for making lasagna.

Ingredients:

  • thin pita bread 3 sheets;
  • mozzarella cheese 300 g;
  • hard cheese 150 g;
  • minced meat 500 g;
  • tomato puree 500 g;
  • garlic to taste;
  • salt and pepper to taste;
  • vegetable oil.

Cooking method:

  1. First, let's prepare the filling, for which we fry the minced meat, salt and season it.
  2. Grate hard cheese and mozzarella.
  3. Finely chop the garlic and fry with vegetable oil. Add tomato puree or grated fresh tomatoes to the garlic pan. Add some salt and pepper. Keep the tomato puree on the stove until the excess water has evaporated.
  4. You can start shaping the lasagna. Grease a baking dish with oil, lay out pita bread, then tomato sauce, then lay out some of the minced meat, sprinkle with grated hard cheese. We repeat the layers, only instead of hard cheese we use mozzarella.
  5. Bake lasagna in the oven for 30 minutes at 200 degrees.

Lasagna with spinach and zucchini

Lasagna comes not only with meat, but also with vegetables. A dish with vegetables is no less satisfying and aromatic. This recipe uses cheese in addition to vegetables.

You don’t have to make bechamel sauce, since eggs are added to the dish, but if you wish, you can also make a filling from the sauce

The peculiarity of this lasagna is that it is not prepared in layers: such a dish can be called “lazy”, since it cooks much faster than traditional lasagna.

Ingredients:

  • lavash 2 pcs.;
  • spinach 300 g;
  • zucchini 1 piece;
  • greenery;
  • soft cheese 200 g;
  • 2 eggs.

Cooking method:

  1. Prepare the vegetable filling. We clean the zucchini and grate it on a fine grater. Boil the spinach, chop it along with the herbs, mix with the zucchini. Add raw eggs.
  2. Mash the cheese into a homogeneous mass, add some of the cheese to the vegetable mixture.
  3. Add some salt and season the filling.
  4. Now we begin to form the lasagna. Place lavash on a greased baking sheet and distribute the filling on it. Cover the resulting pie with a second sheet of pita bread and sprinkle with cheese.

Lasagna with chicken and mushrooms

In this recipe we will use chicken fillet and mushrooms, as well as sheets of thin pita bread.

Ingredients:

  • lavash 4 pcs.;
  • chicken fillet 500 g;
  • mushrooms 0.5 kg;
  • onion 2 pcs.;
  • tomatoes 4 pcs.;
  • hard cheese and mozzarella to taste.

Cooking method:

  1. Cut the chicken fillet into strips, the onion into half rings, and the mushrooms into slices.
  2. Fry finely chopped onion, then add fillet to it and fry all over. Fry the mushrooms in a separate frying pan.
  3. We combine the ingredients together, season with spices and salt.
  4. Prepare bechamel sauce according to a traditional recipe.
  5. Cut the tomatoes into rings.
  6. Now let's form the lasagna. Place pita bread on a greased form, place a layer of filling on it, then tomatoes, pour sauce over it. Repeat layers. The last layer is lavash, sprinkled with grated hard cheese. Place the remaining mozzarella and tomatoes on top and pour the sauce over it.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes at 180 degrees. The photo of homemade lasagna shows that the dish turns out very beautiful, so it is suitable not only for everyday, but also for holiday tables.

Thus, lasagna based on lavash is no less tasty and satisfying dish than traditional Italian lasagna. You can experiment with fillings at your discretion, for example, make a mixed filling from different types of minced meat. You can experiment with sauces: instead of Bolognese and bechamel, you can make a sauce based on sour cream, cheese and eggs. Bon appetit!

It’s as easy as shelling pears to make lasagna from pita bread by watching the video below:

Good afternoon.

If you love Italian cuisine and, at the same time, love to cook, then you will be interested in an article about. In it we prepared our own dough, bechamel sauce and bolognese.

And today I want to talk about a simpler cooking method that helps save time and not lose the flavor of the dish. True gourmets will begin to be indignant that you cannot use Uzbek lavash when preparing Italian lasagna, but I will ignore these indignations. Because it is incredibly convenient and greatly simplifies the entire cooking process.

So, if you agree with my position, then let's get started.

Quick lasagna with pita bread and bechamel sauce

When we use pita bread instead of special sheets for lasagna, it means that we need to prepare the dish faster. But it is not always necessary to deviate significantly from the original recipe. Yes, in this case we won’t use tomatoes either, but tomato paste is quite suitable as a worthy replacement.

In general, it will be just as tasty, only faster.

Ingredients:

  • 3 sheets of thin pita bread
  • 800 g minced meat
  • 2 onions
  • 2 carrots
  • 200 g hard cheese
  • 2 tbsp. l. tomato paste
  • A teaspoon of curry, chicken seasoning, a mixture of herbs and salt

For the bechamel sauce:

  • 50 g butter
  • 4 tbsp flour
  • 1 liter of milk

Preparation:

1. Let's start by preparing the roast. This is a regular roast of carrots and onions. To prepare it, cut the onion into small cubes and grate the carrots on a fine grater.

Fry the onion in a frying pan with vegetable oil over medium heat. We are waiting for it to be covered with a golden crust.

After this, add the grated carrots to the onions and continue to fry, stirring occasionally, until the carrots soften. This will take 10 minutes.

2. The next step is to add fresh or defrosted minced meat to the frying.

3. Stir the minced meat constantly and continue frying until it is completely cooked. Then add spices.

Spices can be added only when all the liquid has evaporated from the pan.

4. Reduce heat to low, add tomato paste and mix everything thoroughly.

5. Cover the pan with a lid and leave to simmer for 5-7 minutes so that the minced meat absorbs the aroma of the herbs.

6. Let's move on to preparing the bechamel sauce. To do this, melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat.

7. Add sifted flour to the melted butter.

8. Now you need to lightly fry it while quickly stirring.

9. Then pour the milk into the pan in small portions and stir the mixture first with a fork and then with a whisk so that there are no lumps left.

When the milk starts to boil, remove the sauce from the heat.

10. The sauce and filling are ready, assemble the lasagna. To do this, cut the pita bread according to the shape in which the dish will be prepared.

If you use a regular baking sheet, then simply cut the pita bread to a size convenient for you.

11. Grease the mold with vegetable oil and place the pita bread in the first layer. Spread the minced meat evenly onto the pita bread.

12. Coat the filling with sauce on top.

Then there is a sheet of pita bread and again the filling and sauce. And so on until the pita bread or the walls of the mold run out.

It doesn’t really matter what you end up with in the last layer - lavash or minced meat. The main thing is to generously coat the surface with sauce so that it does not dry out.

13. Place the lasagna in the oven, preheated to 200 degrees for 40 minutes. 5-7 minutes before the end, open the oven and sprinkle the dish with grated cheese.

Ready. Cut the lasagna into portions and serve.

Bon appetit!

Homemade lazy lasagna recipe

But here is an option for the completely lazy. And I'm not even sure this option can be called lasagna. It's more like a multi-layer pizza. But since both of them belong to Italian cuisine, it will be considered that this is still lasagna, but very, very lazy.

Ingredients:

  • Lavash - 3 pieces
  • Cheese - 150-200 grams
  • Minced meat - 400 grams
  • Bell pepper - 2 pieces
  • Tomato - 2-3 pieces
  • Onions - 2 pieces (1 onion - for minced meat, 1 - for vegetables)
  • Vegetable oil - 100 mo
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Spices - 3-4 pinches (your favorite)

Preparation:

1. Fry defrosted or fresh minced meat with finely chopped onion over medium heat.

Fry the minced meat until cooked, but if the onion begins to turn from golden to black, remove the pan from the heat. Minced meat can also be cooked in the oven.

2. While the minced meat is cooking, fry a mixture of finely chopped tomatoes, bell peppers and onions in another frying pan.

Don't forget to salt and pepper the vegetables

There is no need to simmer the vegetables under a closed lid; now you need to ensure that most of the liquid comes out of them so that the lasagna does not turn out to be too liquid. Fry until a golden crust begins to appear on the vegetables. As soon as we see that it begins to form, immediately remove it from the heat.

3. The fillings are ready, put it all together. To do this, place a sheet of pita bread on a greased baking sheet and place a layer of vegetables on it. We use only half of the cooked vegetables.

4. Cover the vegetables with the next sheet of pita bread, on which we place the minced meat. We lay out all the minced meat.

5. Pour half of the prepared cheese, grated on a coarse grater, onto the minced meat.

6. Place another layer of pita bread on top, on which we place the remaining vegetables and cheese.

7. Place the lasagna in the oven for 15 minutes, preheated to 200 degrees.

Ready. This is the fastest oven-baked lasagna recipe I've found.

Lavash lasagna in the oven with minced meat and mushrooms

An interesting option for preparing homemade lasagna in the oven with mushrooms. It turns out very tasty. Personally, I cook this option most often.

Ingredients:

  • Minced meat – 500 g
  • Mushrooms (champignons) – 400 gr
  • Onion - 2 pcs.
  • Milk – 450 ml
  • Flour - 1 tbsp. l
  • Lavash - 3 sheets
  • Cheese - 150 gr
  • Greenery
  • Pepper
  • Nutmeg
  • Vegetable oil

Preparation:

1. We start with the mushroom filling.

To do this, first fry finely chopped onion until golden brown, and then add champignons to the pan. Fry over medium heat.

But if you have frozen mushrooms, then first you need to fry them and wait until all the water has boiled away

Fry the mushrooms until they give up all their moisture and darken. Don't forget to stir.

At the end of frying, add salt and pepper. Mix. Fry for a couple more minutes and remove from heat.

Add two tablespoons of milk to the flour and stir with a spoon.

Then take two more spoons of milk and stir again. We try to make a paste without lumps.

Combine the resulting slurry with the remaining milk in a saucepan or other container, add 1/2 teaspoon of salt, a little black pepper and a pinch of nutmeg.

Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly. As soon as we see that the milk begins to boil, remove it from the heat.

The mixture should be slightly thick

3. This recipe does not require pre-frying the minced meat, so we simply take the minced meat and mix it with finely chopped herbs. And add a little salt.

4. Take the form in which we will bake the lasagna and place half a sheet of pita bread as the first layer. Lubricate it with sauce and cover with the other half.

5. Place minced meat on top.

6. Then put the next sheet of pita bread, grease it with sauce, and put mushrooms on top.

7. Cover the mushrooms with another pita bread, generously grease it with sauce and sprinkle with grated cheese.

8. Place the lasagna in the oven, preheated to 200 degrees for 40 minutes.

Ready. We wait until it cools down, cut and serve.

Bon appetit!

Well, that's all for today. Thank you for your attention.

Have you found an interesting recipe for yourself?

Lasagna is an incredibly delicious Italian dish that is prepared with minced meat and sauce. But today I will tell you how to cook lazy lasagna and ordinary thin pita bread will help us with this. Because if we take special sheets for lasagna, they will need to be boiled a little more, which will take some time. And with lavash it’s much faster and easier. How to cook lasagne from pita bread with minced meat:

Cut the pork into large pieces and grind into mince. The size of the nozzle does not matter.

Peel the tomato and cut into small cubes. You can take two tomatoes. Chop the onion and grate the carrots on a fine grater. You don't have to add carrots if you don't like them.

Pour the vegetables into the hot frying pan in which the minced meat was fried. Fry until golden and remove from heat.

Now let's prepare the bechamel sauce. For the sauce, pour milk into a saucepan with a thick bottom and add salt and flour. Mix everything with a whisk and put on fire. Bring the sauce to a boil and remove from heat. Bechamel is ready.

Next you need to assemble the lasagna. Place parchment on the bottom of the pan. Make a mold of the desired size. Cut the pita bread into 4 parts, focusing on the size of the mold. Place one sheet of lavash on the bottom and half the minced meat on top.

We also put lavash on the minced meat, and fried vegetables on it.

The last layer will be grated cheese, on a fine grater. Distribute the cheese evenly.

Bake the dish in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
